NHL hockey about some of the things. I think you should know.

I think if you are hockey fan then you must have known that had happened. So if you want to know more about it?The National Hockey League (NHL) Trade Deadline is a date set by the NHL League Office in which teams can no longer make trades or aquire new players for the remainder of the season. Teams can only trade players on their active rosters on this day until 3:00pm eastern standard time(EST). The trade deadline for the 2011-2012 NHL season was set for February 27th. Prior to the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA), the trade deadline date had been in mid-March but under the current CBA, the trade deadline is on the 40th day counting back from the end of the regular season.

To know more about what we don't know it. About the NHL hockey. This is the most important. The trade deadline usually brings a wave of trades from teams trying to either make a push to qualify for the playoffs, or teams who are trying to add that last key piece which will cement their status as a juggernaut in the league. On the opposite side of the spectrum, teams that know they have no chance of making the playoffs or winning a Stanley Cup that year are trying to re-invigorate their lineup by adding young prospects and picking up draft picks in an effort to vie in the upcoming season. In Canada, the NHL trade deadline is treated with such connotation that sports stations such as TSN and The Score devote the entire trade deadline day to breakdown the trades. While this all seems glamorous from a fans perspective, no one really takes into consideration the stress and anxiety this causes the players of the NHL.
